We have (had) a glass Dualit blender. Today, I poured hot water into it, as per usual, however, this time it cracked the whole glass!, It didn't shatter, just one long crack. Anyone have ANY idea how to fix this? Brown Thomas said Sweeney O'Rourke on Pearse street "repair glass". Any other ideas?

Need to replace it before the mother notices, and don't wanna splash out too much as my holiday is close!

    Thanks,

You used water straight from the kettle, didn't you?

I'd say "buy a new blender" is your best option. Even if it's only a cheap one, at least to go to the effort. These things happen.

    Gawd, that's domestic.

Can't you make a crack-resistant plastic one out of body-parts?

I'd say you'll have to get a new jug, a repair will never be the same as new.
Try looking for places that sell the blender and see if they can order the jug? Or check ebay and the likes.

    Pushed to Home Appliances.

    FAQs

    Frequently Asked Questions

Check that the lid is locked properly onto the jug

Check that the lid is locked properly onto the jug – if it is not, the safety interlock will not engage and the motor will not start. The blade assembly must also be locked into the collar correctly. We recommend that you always place one hand on top of the lid when the motor is running.

Yes, spare blender jugs are available for the Dualit blender.

Spare blender jugs can be obtained by calling Dualit Customer Service on 01293 652500 (UK customers only). Payment can be made with a credit/debit card.
The jugs are £15 each + VAT and have a carriage charge of £6.75 + VAT (Delivery within UK only).
When ordering, please have the model and serial number available from the base of the blender.
