i took the gearbox out of my g36c and now i can't get it back in.
Every time i try to put the gearbox back into the reciever, the selector swith wont match up properly, its normally the one on the right hand side that wont line up properly. any suggestions on how to put it back in properly. would retailers do it for free???

It has to be in semi for it to line up properly and you'll see the little protruding pin of the fire selector match up with a slot in the selector plate., it's a pretty easy one to reassemble, unless you have something strange going on.,:)

Had it in semi still no luck! ill have to try it again, I havn't tried it in ages, got frustrated with it and put it under the bed and havn't looked at it since. Now the jc is over though i want to get back out playing.

Did you have the transfer gear from the selector removed when the gearbox was out? this is a little axle with a gear on either end and sits between the 2 fire selectors. It could be that they are out of sync maybe? if you select semi on one, will the other one be in the semi auto position too?

If this is the case its just a matter of lifting out the transfer gear and setting both selectors to the same position, then pushing back in the transfer gear.

Once the two switched are linked up and in semi, the gearbox will go in (don't forget the selector plate needs to be in the semi position too!) - it sometimes takes a bit of juggling and swearing but it'll go in.

Also make sure your motor wiring is neatly in position and not catching on the grip.
