clicking yes on here and actually putting your hand in your pocket are 2 different things-Kickboxing only attracts kickboxers to events- i dont know a single kickboxing fan..

Would it be cool, maybe, would i go? probably not.

but im going to hit yes as thats what everyone will do. :O

Thats strange - I had a KICKBOXING show in Galway last month and we had almost 900 spectators - are you saying they were ALL Kickboxers..?

I stopped training with Fight Club about 2 years ago, so technically I'm not a kickboxer but I would go as a spectator. I'm not an MT fighter either and I've gone to most Armageddons, top class shows.

So yes, I'd go, even to see James Kelly fighting again. Nice lad him.

Put on this top class show so if you think it would be a big draw, there is 1 simple reason why people are asking-there not confident that it would draw a crowd, im pretty sure your show attracted kickboxers and similar type martial artists and familys.

My background is kickboxing, however that was many years ago and I'm no longer in touch with the scene.

And because of that - I'm out!.

Sure would, I think there’s a real opening for a good quality KB show in Dublin at least twice a year.

By all accounts Pete has the experience of running good quality shows in Galway and has the right contacts.

And you don't have to be a kick boxer to attend, if the card is quality it would attract all sorts of fight fans.

My background is KB. Would I go and see a MT or MMA show in Dublin with a good card, sure would.

Well guys - its great to see a bit of interest in the subject and the poll I must admit is a good idea but I must say, as a promoter, I would'nt put on that particular card in Dublin as you need Dubs fighting in their own city to draw a crowd.
Just as if I put on a bunch of Dubs fighting guys from say Waterford or Cork or Kilkenny in Galway then it wouldn't spark the same interest as Galway fighters taking on other counties.
If I do put a show on in Dublin, I'll make sure its full of local fighters taking on fighters from various parts of Ireland and from overseas and it'll be in a decent venue.
Now, how would that go down?

By the way, I'm with Siochain in that I'd support any Martial Arts show if I was around as I love to see good quality events and I regularly attend MT and MMA events in Galway.
My last show for instance was a real mixed bag of people - about 10 of Mark Leonards guys were there flying the flag in their MMA hoodys, there was a **** load of MT boys from various clubs around Galway as well as boxers, judoka, Tai Chi stylists etc and it was great to see tham all support another Martial Arts group and having a great night out in the bargain.
I had several Instructors from other styles on the guest list and even though they all couldn't make it this time, they normally are there.
I regularly get calls from non martial artists looking to buy tickets to my shows as they just go for the pure entertainment as it is a great night out.
