There is a lovely back plate you can buy now with the wall plate welded to a bit of copper at the back its 12" long so goes straight through the house

    Uppercross do them
    Excel do them

or plumbx in blanch do them which might be closer to you..018128200

Got mine in Heatmerchants. Nice job them, just the tap visible and nothing more. I'd say €50 would be a fair cop for the labour.

    Hi,

    Some advice needed please.

I bought the Excel/Pro Plumb Garden Tap Kit and Im wondering if I can attach the 'Saddle Valve' to the Washing Machine Fill Pipe, i.e. the blue pipe or to a cold water Qualpex Pipe.

My research has indicated that the 'Saddle Valve' is normally attached to a copper pipe, however i dont have any copper pipes carrying water under my sink as it seems that after the the mains water hits the StopCock all pipes leading off the StopCock are Qualpex.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards

    Iba

No you cant. You will have to extend your washing machine connection vertically up the wall

    Hi Joey,

Thanks for ur reply; however Im not sure I fully understand.

Do u mean, if I secure my washing machine hose fill pipe to the wall, I can then attach the saddle to it?

    Regards

No. You have about a 1" tail with a small tap on the wall from which the blue hose from your washing machine connects to.(I guessing) this tap will have to come off and the copper pipe extended up the wall You then can tap into the copper.

Just for the record this kit is terriable because the self tapping valve bore is very small. However as its mains it is good enough to water your plants.
