Very Strange Palm Tree (pic included)

    Afetr the big freeze my palm tree just died at the top and all the leaves fell off. A week before I went to cut it down I noticed that it had started sprouting leaves out of its trunk (from bottom to middle.) (see pic)

    Now Im confused. Suggestions :pac:

    They do sprout very readily as anyone who has chopped one down but not pulled out the root will tell you. That might end up as a rather strange shape, either leave it and see what happens, or cut it down and let it sprout from the base.
