I'm in the market for a new laptop at the moment and the Lenovo laptops seem to have good specs, now I don't know anything about them at all, has anyone had any experience with one what are they meant to be like ?

Used to be owned by IBM but they sold it to Chinese. Solid laptops more business orientated then home user. Design very outdated , damn ugly things. Good performers once you remove all the bloatware that comes preinstalled with it. In a few words.. ugly but reliable.

the thinkpad is different from the lenovo ones, keep an eye on the difference.

for the ugly part, lenovo ones look generic while the thinkpad is so damn sexy in my eyes :pac: google thinkpad macbook you will find tonnes of comments of the fan wars

Maby im biased, I have 3 thinkpads/tablets (so that makes me an accountant heh.) and theyre stunningly conservative and functional.
But I use a Lenovo s10-2 netbook and its worth it for what its able to do.. It aint no gaming yoke but for work on site its fine. Oh and they run osx (cough) allegidly..

Lenovo are the best! I used to use HP but they either crashed on me/Hardware failed or overheated. Bought a Lenovo R400 and haven't looked back.

Sure they're not as 'pretty' as most mainstream brands but who cares?? They are fast, reliable and above all tough as s**t!
You won't go wrong! But whatever choice you make please don't buy a HP! Waste of money in my opinion.
