I hate Woodwork! I can't wait for this exam to be over. I think I'll pass it (hopefully!) but I'm not aiming for much more than a D. My Woodwork teacher is so lame. All he did was get us to write out stuff from the book! That isn't teaching and as a result, I know no woodwork! Grrr! Good luck everybody anyway... The exam starts in just less than 2 hours! (shudders)

Quite possibly, but it's not true.

    From the Chief Examiner's Report:
The examination at both levels comprises two components:
    1) Coursework (200 marks – 66.6%)
    2) Written Examination (100 marks – 33.3%)
A candidate’s final result is determined by combining the results obtained on the practical coursework (project) and the terminal examination with equal weightings(my emphasis). Therefore, the total mark for the overall examination is 300.

    Sure. It's here

If you fail to sit the exam component you probably get an asterisk beside your grade because of a missing component, but if you just do badly in the written component, it will be added to your practical and project marks.
