Line faults?

Hey, have a 1mb package with imagine, wouldnt mind upgrading it/changing provider, but dont think theres a point if the line is faulty! See below...

Recently the speed has dropped right off, down to .1/.2 mb/s download, ping of 120 or so, upload around .1 usually.

Been talking to imagine, they say i should get .7 mb/s download but there seems to be a problem in the way im connecting to the network. Would this be a line fault on eircoms part? Its been reported to eircom by imagine but they simply came back saying everything seemed alright!

Phone call quality is ok, dsl lights drops off occasionally but comes instantly back. Have tryed numerous routers, reset them etc etc, tested on main line, no difference.

So im left presuming just to get it escalated to eircom again? If it makes a difference eircom customers across the road rarely have any internet connection at all, eircom seem lazy with them too! Advice much appreciated!

Its absolutely unbareable at this stage, even posting this could turn to a sturggle!
