    I was there from 8pm to 9.30 when I was informed that there was no tournament (only cash). Given a feeble excuse that there had to be 4 players registered by 8.30pm for the tournament to take place. I didn't see any conditions on the guarantee - travel 30 miles for the tourney hang around for an hour and a half, gutted - very professional of this casino.:mad::mad::mad:

    Hi Adam,

    David from Clubpoker here, i just saw your post there and would like to clarify some points with you in regards to the sat last night. The tournament did not go ahead as explained to you last night that only you and one other person showed up. We do not start ANY tournament wit 2 people, EVER, nor does any other casino in this country, or in any country that i have ever been in. I also explained to you that the sat will be held again in the near future, provided that we get 4 or more people to actually have a tournament, NO GUARANTEE was pulled as i explained last night. I am very unhappy about the misinformation that has been posted here, especially as when i spoke to you last night you just walked off. We have held many guaranteed sat's here and lost on many of them as the regulars to our club will testify. If there are any misunderstandings that i have not cleared up i will happily discuss them with you directly and professionally, as this is how it should be done.

    Sorry for not being able to reply sooner as I was out of the country. I don't want to get into a bitching match with you. I know from speaking to you that night that you are a nice well mannered approachable person. However I did and still feel strongly about this issue.

    Nowhere in the post does it say that a minimum of 4 players must turn up.

    If there was a condition on the 'guarentee' it should have been posted here. As you know a 'condition' on a 'guarentee' is a contradiction in terms, hence it should not have been advertised as a 'guarentee' for June 20th 2010.
