The lecturer/co-ordinator over the course is Mark Hutchinson. I had him for a finance class this year and he really tried to sell this course to us. A good few good jobs from trips they made during the year or from contacts with guest speakers.

He's a sound guy so give him an email if you've any particular questions about the course. Two of my friends got offered it!

    Hi,

Just looking at MSc's for 2012 and wondering if anyone has done the corporate finance at UCC and could provide some feedback.

I want to focus purely on corporate finance where possible, such as project finance, corporate restructuring, Private Equity etc. which the MSc Finance at smurfit and TCD don't seem to cover. UCC also seems to have an impressive list of business leaders who come in and give lectures.

    Any updates about this course?

    Cheers for the feedback corkladd.

The website has a list of the modules so I'm pretty happy with the course content, overall its contains the subject areas I'm looking for. I had a look over Marks CV and he has industry experience too which is also a bonus. Just wanted to hear back from someone who may done the course and give some first hand feedback of how it went.

Your right about the UK tho, I'll have to see how the finances fair come the new year! I'm a mature student so I might be entitled to a few quid in terms of grants (unless they completely chop them in the next budget!!) and finding funding to study in the UK might be near impossible....
