Prob your best bet is a used elite console as its a decent quality and wont break the bank.

If game stop are offering 130 for trade ins maybe some one of the guys on here talking about using that offer to get a new slim one would accept 150 off you.

Thats the thing you need to consider. If you want a new one you will have to pay full price if you want a cheap one you have to take a chance. Elites dont break down as often as the white ones.

It depends on how old the model you're buying is if you're getting it second hand. Newer models are a lot less likely to have problems than earlier generations.

You want one that has a relatively recent manufacture date on it if you are looking at buying second hand and you want to ake sure it hasnt been banned or flashed or anything. The newer ones have different chipsets and are less likely to get the RROD which is the main problem with them.

The new slim elite is coming out but its going to cost €250, as someone said above there are tradein prices of €130 on the current elite against it. Have a look on adverts.ie to see if anyone is selling them at the minute.
