Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

3/4 with Paddys currently for the draw.

Is there any reason to believe that there won't be a draw?

    2nd place draws Argentina

I've had a big lay at 4/5 on Betfair. I don't think it's possible for this Mexican side to sit back. Both teams like to attack and top spot is a massive advantage.

Even though both need a draw to qualify, anything under Evs must be a lay.

Draw will do Uruguay ok but Mexico need to win the group to get a game against South Korea or Greece. Much easier passage into the last 8 than playing the Argies.

The odds for the draw have been hammered into at an avalanche scale the last few days, if Mexico's odds improve I might just consider taking them HT/FT.

The bookies' cut the price after Mexico won last night as the conspiracy theorists will back it now @ 4/6. I think it'll drift a little before the game, maybe going off around 5/4 or 6/4. It's far too short at the moment.

I've gone for Mexico HT/ Draw FT 9/1 with PP
Mexico need the win to avoid the Argies but I think if its level in the last 15 min both teams will be happy to see it out.

Uruguay are a defensive side by nature and a draw is enough for them to top the group. I expect them to be playing for a draw from the start. Mexico have to win to top the group, they'll look to attack from the off. Neither team will want to meet the Argies (tho they wont be scared of 'em if they do) in the next round that's for sure so there'll be no 'playing out the draw' malarkey going on here. The only way these two would suddenly say we better play out the draw is if it's a stalemate late on and Fra or SA are winning 3 or 4-0. Not likely.

I wont be betting on this one mostly because I missed Mexico's two games so far so haven't seen them yet. There's potential for the flip/flops here. Mexico ht/Uruguay ft and vice versa both at 50/1 might be worth a few pence. I think SK v Nig has flip/flop potential too.

    4/5 now on PP

suppose it depends if france pull something out of their cheatin arses. If France somehow get 3 or 4 up against SA(very unlikely I know) both Mexico & Uruguay(if drawing) may sit back to make sure they go through with a point

the draw is currently 10/11 on betfair.

what stands out most for me is that mexico and Uruguay are after drifting massively to 4.1 and 4.3 respectively. This suggests that people in the know with enough money to shift the market are laying both teams heavily. Id saya draw game has been brokered behinf the scenes.

just need mexico to accept that and not go getting any ideas

as part of a treble I've taken Mexico DNB

    treble
    Mexico DNB 4/5
    Nigeria/SK - 1st goal before 28th minute evens
    Greece/Argentina over 2.5 goals evens

Also done a bookings quad on todays games
    Mex/Uru upto & inc 40 points 4/6
    SA/Fra 65 points or more 6/5
    Nig/SK upro & inc 50 points evens
    Gre/Arg upto & inc 35 points 7/5

So are we assuming a no score draw here because what price will the draw hit if a team goes 1 up?

What i mean is if there is more value to be had in backing 0-0?
Then if someone does score back the draw again in running?

Wow just checked, 0-0 draw is 5/2

Did Uruguay halftime and Mexico full time and doubled it with Nigeria half time South Korea full time

So have a bit of an interest in this game

€1.25 pays out €1400+ (not sure of the exact amount)

Might do a few more of these for the rest of the group stage, spices things up a bit

Gonna go for over 2.5 goals and more than 55 booking points @ 9.00 on PP.

People seem to be expecting a nice fairly tame draw. But i think both teams are going to be out for a win. Perhaps Mexico a bit more. Some first teamers may well be rested but those that take their place will want to impress. Although predicted line ups seem quite strong. Anyways neither team would want to meet Argentina. Mexico are already weak at the back and if uruguay makes some changes at the back they may be vunerable to Mexico's attacks down the flanks. I can see maybe a 2-1 or 2-2. And Mexicans aren't liked in the Latino world and a lot of Mexicans dislike South American countries. So i'm expecting a few reckless tackles. Sensibly they should avoid being booked but i just don't think they will be able to help themselves. At 8/1 i'll be taking that at maybe 10 or 20 Euro.

Both teams playing for a draw!? Funny :D

This is the game where I'll have most of my money on.

I have few of accumulators(I was bored last night :pac:) for today:
    • Forlan and Messi 2 or more = 125e
    • Forlan to score anytime, Messi to score and Argie win + South Korea win = 43e
    • Uruguay, Argentina, Ivory Coast, Denmark, Paraguay and Holland to win = 84.5e

Will probably make a single bet on Forlan again.

You have 84 euro on a 6 team accum?

Ive taken 100 euro from last nites wimmings and placed it on forlan to score first uruguay to win 1-0 25-1. I think it mite be a tight game and forlan shoots from everywhere, is on free kicks and penos. and have a feeling about this one

I actually thought the same as Frat. The euro amount looks like the stake.

Well it's been an insane World Cup. Insane bets may be the only way forward. :D

Anyways both teams don't look like they are playing for the draw so far.
