Steam Bargins all week...

If you're neglecting steam at the moment there's some great deals on.
I just picked up Burnout Ultimate box for 3.99
Can't beat that price..

I've posted this in the Gaming Bargains thread. Just gonna post it again here to give people a heads up.

Burnout Paradise is the only game that has been on sale on Steam this week that cannot be gotten cheaper anywhere else. As far as I can tell anyway. Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Command and Conquer 4 have ALL been a big ripoff on Steam. C&C4 was down to €33.99 where it can be gotten on Amazon for £12.99. Christ, you'd be unlucky to find C&C4 for dearer than €33.99 at launch...almost. :rolleyes:
And I bought BFBC2 at launch for cheaper than what Steam are charging for it on Sale.

Steam is a rip off most of the time, even if it is on sale. I would advise everyone to do some research before buying these on Steam.

The example you gave is a brilliant bargain, which is very hard to turn your nose up at. But other than that, it can be gotten cheaper elsewhere.

True but they did have Crysis Warhead for 7.99 Tuesday.
Tomorrow is apparently Mirrors Edge / Dead Space and Spore.
Saturday is Mass Effect Day and Sunday Dragon Age.

Fraid to say that you are wrong. I love Steam. Have 56 games on it and still growing. Been using it for over 5 years and use it almost every day. But their prices are a rip off. I just felt the need to share the fact that Steam is a rip off (most of the time) and just because it says 'SALE' does not mean it's a bargain. Almost all of the games can be gotten cheaper elsewhere.

The example he gave was a great bargain, one which I'm finding hard to turn my nose up at as the hours go by. i AGREE WITH YOU briankearon666 normally I'd never buy a game on steam...but on the odd occasion like last night they do have bargins.
Especially around Christmas time too.
