    Hi all,

    I have an English bill pay iPhone that my friend gave me and I want to get it unlocked so that I can put my Irish prepay sim in it.

    Does anyone know how to do this either a) for free; or b) very cheaply?

    Go to settings/general/about and post what version your iPhone and modem firmware back here and I'll tell ya if ya can unlock it or not

    get your friend to get it offically unlocked from O2 UK, then you have a factroy unlocked phone that you can update as necessary without worrying about a jailbreak or unlock.
