Ignorance is Bliss.

Since I've branched out in the last year and started reading up alot on US politics and war efforts, the economics at play in Europe and the classic conspiracy theories, I can't help but think I'd rather know about none of it..

I just don't know.. It doesn't keep me awake at night but it just astonishes me that so much goes on in this world and so many people don't know about it. And are probably better for it..

I'd say there are a lot more people out there who are looking into the world around them than you think. Unfortunately, we're living in the age that has practically given up on activism. Sure, there are demonstrations and protests. But none of these are on the scale of demonstrations of the past. I'm guilty of a degree of apathy myself, although I do try to keep clued-in.

I don't think that people are even ignorant to it.. it's selective ignorance at best. Once people can fulfill the expectancy placed on them, then they're not going to question the easiest means of attaining it

Ignorance theoretically is bliss. But then you start to look around and observe the ignorant and realise you're actually better off with your knowledgable misery.

Ignorance and Bliss do not deserve to be spoken in the same sentence. I'm always trying to learn about new things I never really knew about whether it be something small and trivial, like a word I don't really know. Or something big, like history, such as the The Kymer Rouge.

But my point is, it's better to be aware of things then to never know about anything.

99% of us know that the ' C celeb ' / Media culture news is 99% garbage , only there as a cheap distraction of sorts from the main concerns and worries of the ordinary person .

I think we have to give people more credit . We are always learning , discovering something new even if as mentioned , it's something simple such as the meaning and understanding of a word .
