New mags, higher power?

OK, this may seem like a n00b question, but if I get a new mag for a GBB, is there a chance it'll put my pistol over the limit?

I aslways thought it was the4 pistol that regulated the gass output, and therefore the power. Is this correct?

    Thanks,
    J

If the mag has a high flow valve in it it would increase the power I think, but I would say you have to buy those separate to the mags

(not an expert on gbbs, open to correction)

Oh, I'm not looking to increase the power. I'm just making sure if I order in Mags online then I won';t get arrested

dont think stock mags will increase your power, you should be grand

The power might be a little more or even a little less, depending on how well the mag seals with the loading muzzle. i wouldn't worry about it as variances are pretty low.

Brilliant. Just wanted to make sure. Not really sure on how GBB's work, but now, I guess that the power regulator is actually in the slide itself

Could be wrong but I thought the gas regulator was in the mag but it's the spring that actually determines the fps, if that's the case you just end up using more gas than you need.

I thought you can increase the power in gbbs by upgrading valves in both the magazine and slide?

@Gray-No, In GBB the spring has nothing to do with it. It's all to do with the Gas propeling the BB along. The spring only matters in AEG's.

Actually, there is a spring that helps control the output, there is a hammer spring that you can upgrade (150%, etc) that will help you get more fps out of your pistol.
