Lads im not too well up on my DB's so i have a couple a questions as im going to look at an 885 case db that has come of a beet harvester

    Front axle.
Is this the same as any other brown if so which - 880 990???
Are all case 885s (orange/white) power steering
Does anyone know anywhere i could get an axle or even a full tractor for breaking cheap?
I also need wheels and lift arms
Were any 885s sold without a cab wearing round mudguards or did they all have flat top wings?

    All help appreciated

Loads of DB info here. http://www.dbtc.co.uk/index.php

Theres a contributer on there "James Gregan" I think, that breaks DB's in Wexford.

i think you would best to google afew db sites and get your sums done before you buy if that is what you are doing , it could be a bigger project than you think , just my 2cents worth.:D Granpa

I know what your saying surely but it has a bonnet like brand new a low hours engine and trans, and its coming cheap, id rather the fun of doing up 1 rather than going out and buying 1 !!!

well if thats the case and you seem to know what the pit falls are id say go for it , with old tractors things can get out of hand and before long you run into alot of money. but on the other hand there is alot of enjoyment when you take a non runner project and get it all together and up and running, i woulnd like to put any one off as long as they know what they are getting into , Regards Granpa
