Anyone else have this problem? E4 is glitchy a lot of the time on Sky+ box-signal strength and quality are perfect and no other interference, phone etc. It's like a dvd skipping, just a quick glitch in picture and sound for split second at a time, gets annoying after a while.Btw all other channels are fine.Any ideas?

Some wireless phones are known to interfere with Channel 4 +1 & E4, so it might be worth unplugging any wireless phones you have near the Sky box to see if it rectifies the problem.

Don't have a wireless phone or anything like that near sky box.I know that dect phones can cause interference.Even if I record something it picks up the glitch, wonder if it's a broadcasting problem?

Same problem here with a Sky+ box (Pace) - it seems to be quite a common issue. I've powered off wireless routers, DECT phones, baby monitors - but it's still the same. When it's bad it affects the full Channel 4 suite of channels.

Maybe C4 should move frequencies and allocate these ones to the shopping channels!

Thanks,at least know I know that I'm not the only one.Looks like I may put up with it for another little while til the Hd box goes in.Hope that doesn't have same problem.

You can tune in channel 4 and e4 thru other channels, dosent seem to have that problem when you watch thru other channels. Must be different frequencies

Noticed that, only problem is recording stuff on E4,ch4 then.Had whole series of Skins in glorious jumpy vision.Seems to be the ones that are dedicated to Ireland as on a standard sky box without card theres no problem.

For those who have the HD pack, you can use Ch 215 for E4.

I had a similar problem with my box. My problem was a bad connection in the wall socket for one of the two cables coming from the dish. I had checked the signal strength and it appeared OK but I was checking the cables/connectors and stumbled across this. I only had the issue with C4, E4, etc which is strange, you would expect this on all channels. I got rid of my wall plate and the cables now go directly into the box.

    Folks

I had similar problems using Dish for Freesat with a Sky box. A few channels were glitchy including e4. I got the installer back, he replaced the cable and all was fixed.

    Moral - Check hardware

If you have ruled out all Wireless devices then It sounds like a problem with your cable feed swap cables from input1 and input2. Are the cables from the dish straight runs or are they connected through attic. I will say that in a lot of newly built houses i come across the electrician's use poor quality coaxial cable.

Cabling is fine-direct run from dish, signal quality+strength is excellent.Theres no wireless phones in the house.I have a standard sky box in another room for fta and don't have a problem.I hope the problem clears up when the HD box is fitted. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

If problem persists, I'd replace the cable. Cable can be so finnicky. It can look perfect and behave perfectly for some frequencies / tp / channels but there can be daemons lurking within it. All it takes is a minute flaw in the copper or a cable clip pinching too tight or interference along its route. I would put money on a new cable install fixing this. Let us know how it turns out will ya?

I still would swap the Inputs. Dont rely on having good Signal strength and Quality readings on signal test screen on a sky box all tuners in sky boxes are differant I think Watty might have mentioned that before the only way of really Knowing is to get an installer to connect a Professional meter on the end of cable not a cheap signal finder that comes with cheap budget Kits sold in Aldi/Lidl.
