does anyone here have experience with setting up a driving range?
design and operating costs, insurance and contacts really is what i'm interested in

i've got a plot of land
all i need to do is build a few walls, gonna use some gate barriers between bays, a ball-collector thing, balls and a cash register

    overheads are non existent really
    so its all about location

Yes just make sure there is enough room for a seven iron and you'll be grand.

I thinks its a great idea.

You could probably even get Poulter to advertise it for you and then set up a shop with all the hot IJP outfits.

i just hope he doesn't bring shame to the nation in a few weeks time

i would consider using him for the launch though, could be the economic way of doing it (e.g. hold a BBQ to secure his attendance)

some punters would be intimidated by his sense of style..
i'm trying to appeal to the masses here - therefore lowry might be more appropriate. harro and mcilroy rarely do such functions

the blizzards project is on hold until we can get charles barkley back on board. at that point its full steam ahead and trials will resume.

A mate of mine said he heard talk of a range building an indoor short game area ??

Are there any in Dublin would be handy for the winter??

ideally you need to get an entire golf village up and running.

    indoor / outdoor range - with island green, markers at 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 250
short game practice area - that includes bunkers and a portion of rough

in the right catchment area, this would offer a very attractive business proposition IMO
obviously you'd be talking dublin or cork here
