JC for autistic students?

I am in a secondary school where we have a unit specifically designed for students who have autism.
I moved out of this unit and into the main school since second year, mainly because I realised I would be able for JC work.
In the unit, there are still a few students however. The students in this base unit do primary school work, when they enroll in the school.
Do you guys/gals think this is a right decision?
I never thought it was because I believe students with disabilities can do a lot better, if they are pushed and have the right support.

Depends on the severity imo.I have a sister who is severely autistic and she would never be able for school however many autistic children are only mildly autistic and could manage school....not a question that can be answered really as i know from personal experiance as do you that each person with a disability is different.
Btw good on you for going mainstream.

Some students with autism find certain subjects such as Maths and Physics easy enough for exam.
