Can anyone tell me if it's possible to convert the film from 8mm video casettes to DVD or similar digital format?

Also, if possible how much would it cost for a 90min tape.

    Thanks!

Hi - I have an old Sony camcorder and have a rake of Hi8 tapes that I'd like to get transferred to DVD - can anyone tell me what the process involves? Thanks

The cheapest thing to do is to buy something called an Easycap from eBay, transfer the footage to your pc and then burn. Alternatively if you have a recording DVD player you can probably just hook the camera straight to it's inputs and record away.
