Ah c'mon! Thats way too hard!
Anyone who beat Sugar Ray Leonard has to be a legend, but if memory serves, didn't Duran quit (or something) in the rematch?
I'd probably still give Duran the nod, ask me again tomorrow, and I'd probably go with Manny.
Both moved up weight divisions and both dominated but Duran had a helluva knockout punch (albeit by wearing down his opponents so much, that they could hardly stand). So, today, I'll go with Duran.

Duran I think would be too strong for Pacquiao.

His right hand was a killer!

Both in their prime & fully focused......... Duran would kick his ass.

I'll go against the grain and say Manny could be the bigger puncher and style v style i think Roberto would suit Manny's style of fighting-but then again maybe the same could be said in reverse!!

My decision is Manny by TKO late on, 8 rds or more.

    [Assuming this is p4p]

Despite both fighters power and aggression I don't see this finishing inside the distance. Both have excellent chins, stamina and workrate.

When I saw the title first I immediately thought Duran by clear but hard fought UD, but the more I thought of it the more of a chance I give Manny.

Roberto was never at his best against boxers with quick feet and Manny is terrificly fast moving in and out.

However, Duran is undoubtedly one of the greatest defensive fighters I have ever seen. That's right 'DEFENSIVE'. It's always overlooked purely because of his savagery and relentless aggression, but in truth his ability to slip and ride punches while attacking is at times just breathtaking and those who refer to him as a 'slugger' are doing him an enormous injustice.

I think Manny's quickness will give Roberto problems, but Duran's no slouch in the handspeed department either and Manny's defence is nothing special.

I think it could be a lot more tactical early on than people expect, but the longer it goes on the more the macho comes out in both and the second half of the fight could be pure savagery.

Still think Duran narrowly takes it in a fantastic fight.

Duran was the best offensive minded defensive fighter I ever saw. He was so subtle, quick and adept at ducking and diving, parrying and feinting. A defensive wizard when he needed to be. I think this is the difference. The best chance Pac has is actually at welter, where he is now, and where he seems to be so so relaxed, deadly and not at all
as reckless as before. His whole style is fluid and vicious now.

The 1980 147 lb Duran vs. the 2010 147 lb Pacman would be a deadly affair, with Duran winning by close hard fought decision. At LW Duran would be a more comfortable winner.

Duran's defensive capabilities are why I would always pick him to beat Aaron Pryor too.

Its Pacquaio for me because I don't think that Duran will get near him, in fact I think we could hear him utter 'no mas' at some stage in this fight as his frustration gets the better of him. Duran was a fantastic fighter, I fully agree with that but Manny is just far too fast for him imo.

I'll stick with Manny over the distance, a lot of close rounds but Manny takes it by four points in the end.

I think about a lot of fantasy fights and this one never crept into my mind but it has got my mind going...

It would be a pure classic in terms of aggression, stamina, courage, heart, power and boxing ability and it's so hard to pick a clear winner. Pacquiao is a sublime mover with great feet and excellant punching ability as we all know, and Duran was a brilliant fighter all round and camw through some wars in his time. Both fighters have as much chance of knocking the other out as being knocked out themselves, and would go the distance IMO because both can take a shot.
Over the 12 (hard fought) rounds, my gut says that Duran would be the slightly stronger so for me it's Roberto on a split decision....

Both men bloodied but standing at the end.

Duran winning by three or four rounds.

Good as Pacquiao is, Duran at his peak was better. It really is as simple as that.

From what I remember, ye he did, Duran was very out of shape going into the second fight and it was total mismanagement by Don King that he was put in there so quickly without been give a proper chance to sort himself out.
He used to balloon up between fights, before the second SRL fight he was particularly bad and Leonard knew this, Leonard just moved around to frustrate a slow Duran, Duran was calling Leonard to fight toe to toe and Leonard was refusing, after a while Duran snapped, said he was sick of it and turned away from Leonard and pushed him away. He seemed to have a hatred for SRL anyway even before they ever fought

The second fight is on this from 6.35, good tribute to his career this anyway, goes from the start to the end -

What a match up! I reckon Manny's conditioning and technical improvements
since he's moved up in weigh would shade it in his favour, but Duran was so tough and could do it for fifteen rounds, would be some war.

Being too young to have seen Duran in action I really can't say but having read his biography 'Hands of Stone' and the George Kimbell book 'Four Kings' and the odd bits I have seen on Youtube all I know is that I f*cking wish I had been alive (or older) for that era of boxing!
