I have seen these on offer before, but normally up around €50 or higher, €20 is a great price! Sure the 'fatmax' bag on its own can be nearly €40

Bargain, pity I won't get a chance to pick up one over the next few days :(

Any one know if this i sall b and qs. Have looked at this a few times when it was more expensive. Ill be going out to buy some screws and rawl plugs this week at some stage, was gonna go to homebase but if they have these at 20 I might drive the extra distance to b and q.

seen the same in cork today, 3 being loaded into the same jeep
then people wonder why they're always sold out :)

they look decent quality, better then the own brand stuff
my record for the fat max zip up bags is a month before the stitching goes and all my tools fall out the bottom :/
so even Stanley fatmax can be a bit flimsy when used daily

I'd say for most people they'll be bought and won't be moved from their shed so should last a lifetime

Does it come with bits and pieces, or is it just a bare carry case thing?

On my phone at the minute, and can't really make the pics out.

I actually have this, bought it last year in Woodies for around 40quid, so thats a good price there. Its a good sturdy work station, well worth it imo.

Few in B&Q in Waterford this morning.

If you keep an eye on B&Q over the year they seem to reduce several of the bigger tool boxes to half price. Only problem is their half price is half full price and you can always get stuff cheaper than B&Q if it not a special offer.

Also noticed the DeWalt tote bags with a long bar/handle across the top not bad at €22 but not worth the orignal €44 (Stanley fat max do a similar one)

4 left in belgard road branch tallaght-

those dewalt branded ones are a hell of a lot better quality though, no chance of the bottom falling out of them

Have a look at those fat max ones. they've a plastic bottom with a single stitch line onto the fabric,
I used to get the zip up one as it was handy to put a padlock on,

A month is the longest I've got from one before the stitching went and all my tools fell out the bottom
and what I carry would be nowhere as heavy as say a plumber

I took two back and repaired the third one and keep it in the car
to summarize those fat max bags are not suitable for any regular usage

i use the fat max ones. have 3 in daily use(in my van) for the last year and a bit. workmate also has 3 . they have more pockets and bits than the dewalt ones. i cant recommend the fatmax ones enough

Picked one up in Liffey Valley tonight, great value at €20, not sure I would ever have parted with the near €60rrp. Loads left if people are still looking for them.

Who ya gonna believe? A Boardsie or someone who works for B&Q?!!?:)

(tbh that would be more accurate if it was about someone from Woodies, not that you can ever FIND anybody in Woodies......)

Picked one up in Liffey Valley this morning, I would say at a guess there was about 30 - 40 left. Different prices displayed for the same item though. On the aisle alongside the till's they are priced at €19.95 however at a differnt aisle where the rest of the toolboxes are located they are priced at both €27.95 and the full price of €54 or thereabouts. I would imagine they should all scan at the cheaper price though. Well worth the €20. Thanks OP.

Noticed this yesterday myself when I went to get one, the barcode on all 3 price tags was the same, scanned at 19.95 anyway for me :)

Its a definite bargin IF you have a use for it, if you don't then its just another bit of plastic junk taking up room.

I can't help myself buying bargins espeacially tool related but I bought 2 of the bigger Stanley Wheeled tool boxes (half price in b&q) 12months ago and I still havn't found a use that justifies the purchase.

4 left here now, I'm giving it a miss - they feel very cheap IMHO.

    ...and it's only a €7.25 discount.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,495 ✭✭✭Abelloid

This looks like a better bargain. IMHO

Still plenty of these left in liffey valley store priced at €19.95 at both ends of the aisle. While in the middle of the aisle, beside other products they are priced €56 odd!

No they arent, but thats what was on the price label.

You wont get much for €19.95 in fairness though, so its a good price.

It does be worth trekkin into b&q for the sales ,I got a stanley tote toolbag for €12. The cheapest I've seen them anywhere since was well over €40
