Got pulled over between airport roundabout, going towards the m1 doing 77kph, first off is it 60kph, I thought it was 80kph? He told me to go into garda station in next 10days and produce insurance cert and nct cert. Will I be getting a fine do you think? Didnt want to ask him!

Ok, have found out it is 60kph, so I was speeding. What way do the cameras work. Are all speeding cars digitally recorded and automatically fined and given penalty points or is it up to the discretion of the guard - can he decide whether or not to give you the points? Is the fact that I have to go into the station to produce the insurance cert and nct cert a good sign? Any hope??

It's at his discretion. Producing your insurance is standard practice.

You will most likely be getting a fine of €80 and 2 penalty points in the post.

I am familiar with the place you mentioned. Nothing more than a revenue excercise from our boys in blue.
