    hi
    i have a vw polo 97
the door behind the driver seat cannot be opened
the lock or stick which should be pulled from inside got broken and i cannot pull it up now. it is in depressed(down) position.
the stick has gone down and there is no way to pull the stick to open this door.
i went to a small mechanic and he could not do it either

is there any way to pull it up?
any garage near maynooth or nearby who could help me out?

Chance this, works on a Golf so it may work on the Polo seeing as VW were able to make equally ****e locks for the whole range.

Pull up the plastic post to open the opposite door. Unscrew the plastic piece from the opposite door. Push it down gently into the locked door and move to locate the threaded rod. Screw onto the rod and you will be able to open the door.
Alternatively use the one from the driver's door temporarily as you will be able to open and close this one with your key.
