    I was caught speeding abt 5 weeks ago in waterford and didnt receive any formal notice as yet when the cop stoped me he said that Id get a fine in the post fair enough,my question is was he supposed to give me some sort of ticket there and then he didnt am I in the clear? any replies welcome

    no they would do the paperwork at the station and the post it out! sometimes they dont bother and leave you off (might just be a scare tactic)

    guard told the same to my oh, he never recieved any points or fine despite the guard saying he would get it in the post! nothing given on the spot either!!
