ABN / Contractor - Taxes, etc!

So I've started working in TV production in Sydney as a freelance/casual/contractor. Set myself up with an ABN and working away. Unofficially been told I'll have work for the 6 months I'm allowed to stay with the company on a WHV.

So now I'm a sole trader, should I keep receipts of everything work related and can I claim back tax on them at the end? I love it here and hope to stay on beyond the WHV so want to keep my tax affairs in order. How much tax will I have to pay/etc! Do I need to go and speak with a financial advisor here?!

    Advice welcome!

    Cheers!
