Negative affects of flying...

Maybe its just me, but does get affected by flying?

Last year, I was in Western U.S, had a stop over on the way, but when I got there, I felt fairly sick...bit of a weird one I'll admit, but basically, felt like my head was spinning. I guess a better description would be, when I was walking, it felt a little bit like I was "rocking", or like I was walking "on a boat" that was swaying..

I had it badly when I got there for about 5 days, then for about a week or so when I got back.

Recently went on another trip (East US), and got the same sort of thing again, but thankfully only lasted for a couple of hours, instead of a week (maybe thats because i had 1 flight instead of 2!). Doesn't affect my balance at all, and i can still function normally, but its fairly uncomfortable.

Anybody else ever experience something similar? Or something different for that matter?

Illusions of self-motion aka Dock Rock, nothing unusual at all.

Interesting... never affects anyone I've ever traveled with.. or anyone I've mentioned it to, usually just look at me like I have 10 heads...didn't think it was a usual occurrence for those reasons.

happens a lot after a sea holiday. something to do with the balance proprioceptors in your inner ear

Could just be jetlag - I get sensations as described in the OP when I don't get enough (proper) sleep.
