Hi, im making a power pack for a logsplitter at home and i was wondering where would be good places to get a hydraulic pump. It will be driven off a 1.9 peugeot engine. Ive tried hi-power and they said they would do a Roquet one for 250 euro but i did not get the specs of the pump off him (i must ask him for the specs. Does anyone know a few prices of pumps new or secondhand by chance?

Am i better off asking in a different forum, maybe engineering? Just thought with machinary using hydraulic pumps someone might have experiance of buying one either new or secondhand and where i could pick up a good one cheap in cork.

Have a look a someone who sells ex Esb stuff, a lot of transits and landrovers had hydraulic set up with pumps and control gear for winches, this setup would be fine for your application, AFAIK Hi Power were the suppliers of this stuff in the first place.
