    HI all,
Does anyone know anything about ICON in Sandyford? What are they like to work for? Promotional prospects? Benefits etc?
Have noticed the same permanent jobs over and over again on Irishjobs. I'm concerned that they hire but then don't follow through on permanency once the probation period is up...
    Cheers

Thanks a million for the info. It's based in Dublin but I think it may be shift work. I know the salaries are not fantastic.. but then science is rarely well paid!
I'd be interested to know what your friend thinks of them. I am concerned that there is a high turnover of staff.

Hi microbio, a friend of mine is a manager there, I'll see what she has to say.
If you're sure you want to get into that line of work, check out Quintiles as well...

    Thanks for all the responses.
I've heard good and bad. Sure we'll see what happens.
I've looked at Quintilles, but they don't seem to have much at the moment that I'd qualify for.
    Thanks for the input :-)

What are your qualifications? And what roles are you looking at?

OP, they are hiring continuously and don't let people go after the probation unless you're really bad

Different divisions under the one roof in Sandyford to bear in mind. Good company to work for.

You won't get many pay rises in jobs at the minute don't forget plus few leavers in that place

EDIT: It's a clinical trials company btw

From their website, Quintiles advertised vacancies in Dublin are mostly for CRA's and project management.

You don't mention your background or qualifications but if it's a graduate role you're looking for then Quintiles seem to be constantly hiring for data management roles (though admittedly not right now). A classmate of mine works there. She likes it and is always boasting about the atmosphere and perks.

It might not be what you had in mind but in can be a good stepping stone to becoming a CRA and you can always transfer into reg. affairs/drug safety etc. after a couple of years experience.
