    The Minister further notes that

Electric cars INCREASE* carbon footprint. Unless you get all your electric from Hydro, Wind, Wave, Tide or Fusion. We are unlikely to see ever even 15% non-fossil power.

We haven't improved on Global indices. There is no credible NGB policy, The "midband" NBS scheme was only contract signed by him, designed by predecessors. The Japanese the 1st in world virtually with 3G, they don't regard it as Broadband.

(* % loss in power distribution, % loss in charging is up to 25% more carbon than Diesel or Petrol car, assuming as much non-fossil power gen as possible, Replacement every 300 charge cycles of batteries is more carbon footprint and cost. Electric cars only make sense if Fusion Power stations invented or you in a country running entirely on Hydro power)

Since you all bring up the topic of electric cars ( midband equipped as standard I presume ) what would the range of an electric car in a climate such as we had last January ( -7C - -10C ) be ?

Are these cars fitted with heaters ?

If so, what is the energy source ?

    Brrrrrrr!

Actually, Kenya you get Fibre to the Home.

South Africa is a bit variable.
