Any Musicians out there?

Im looking to get something going with other musicians, I play bass (think boards name hints that :0) and can sing, I also play guitar and write alot of my own tunes, so looking for others who are into trying a jam and see what happens. My influences range from NIN, QOTSA, Clutch, Kyuss, ZZ Top,Soundgarden, Mad at Gravity, Helmet, Tool, Down, FNM, and alot of other stuff, kind of a mix of heavy melodic groovy stuff. I have all my own gear abnd transport, the main problem is finding people who are into trying it for the craic and see what happens. Ive a good bit of live and studio experience and have played in alot of bands from jazzy folk to metal, Im in my 30's so not looking to take over the world or make millions :0), although that would be nice!

If you are looking for something casual and more a bit of fun for now, might have something for ya. Similar influences - leaning towards the grungier stuff - soundgarden, stp, pearl jam etc but something off ZZ Tops first album wouldnt go amiss!;) No genre set in stone either way.
Anyway, we're 2 guitarists and a drummer, all early 30s, all northside. Have a rehearsal place sorted. If you are interested, maybe we can work something out.

Its sounds good to me, its hard to say one style of music as I like alot, STP and Pearl Jam are definitly bands I love. Drop me a pm with some details and we can try and arrange something, cheers

hey, i'm a guitarist,been out of it for a while but i'm thinking it would be nice to get back into playing, just for fun, i'm in my early 30's too and have accepted, albiet reluctantly that world domination may be just beyond my reach!! I'm into the punkier side of life, offspring, green day, therapy? nofx, nirvana but like playing metal too. Give me a shout if you think you might be up for it. cheers
