    Hi All,

Have job interview with the carphonewarehouse its a retail sales job anybody know what sort of questions I'm going to be asked? I done the usual research on the company itself.

Just done a google on it and it seems alot of ppl were asked to sell the interviewer something like his pen on the day, be interested to hear from anyone who has been through an interview with the CPW.

    Thanks.

Im sure they will ask you all about mobile phones so brush up a little. Hop onto their website and take at least 3 things about the top sellers to learn about them.

I remember hearing before that they have a policy of answering the phone even if a customer is waiting in the queue. Something about "The Customer will wait the phone call will not".

I interviewed with CPW many moons ago, was offered the position so I mustn't haven't been too bad :p

Learn what you can about the industry and their competitors, you show know about ComReg and the latest technologies (android/iphone) etc. Remember that the also do laptops, accessories etc as well as mobile phones.

They will prob talk to you a lot about targets and tell you how tough and competitive the market is. If you've had targets in a previous role talk about them and how you went about achieving them. If you haven't talk to them about targets or goals you might have set for yourself, even if it is only to get certain tasks completed within a time frame.

Customer service is key in a role like this and they will look for examples of a time where you gave really good customer service and/or had to deal with a difficult or irate customer so be prepared.

If they do ask you to sell them a pen(I wasn't) they aren't actually interested in the pen they are interested in your ability to sell and to think on your feet. Go through the process, build rapport, ask open questions, listen to what the customer wants, tell them how the pen meets their needs, get agreement and close.

    Best of luck!
