Laptop Typing Wrong

I have a Sony Vaio and its giving me a bit of trouble. On internet sites when I am typing, sometimes the cursor jumps back into previous paragraphs and types in between sentences messing the text up. It only happens on internet sites. It does not happen on microsoft office word or any typing applications on the PC.
Its only 6 months old and I bought it from PC world. Its being doing it since I bought it. I rang them twice already and today they told me to clean the whole PC. So I done that and it still happened even though it was set back to factory setting.
Does this happen on some sites or is it the PC thats at fault ? I need to know before I bring it back. It doesnt do it all the time, just on this site and a couple of others the odd time. Do you get problems like this on these sites ?

    Thanks for any help :)

"They'd be typing along on their laptops when suddenly the cursor would jump, resulting in garbled text or even an unwanted mouse-click". http://www.pcworld.com/article/190038/disable_your_laptops_touchpad_while_you_type.html

Used to happen to me too, especially when typing replies here for some reason. In my case I really was grazing the touchpad without realising it, until I caught myself doing it. Tthe touchpad on this Acer is not recessed and responds to the slightest pressure. When I went to type something longer, a document for example, I changed to a higher hand position without thinking and the problem didn't occur.

Try disabling your touchpad when you type (there should be an Fn shortcut key for that), or at least disable tap and see if the problem disappears.

Thanks for that. I downloaded the touch freeze option as I wouldnt know how to fix the other stuff. Id end up turning something else off. So that should do the job, cheers :)

Also, check your keyboard, if there is a key that's stuck which you may not know about it can cause weird things to happen.
