    Hey,

I bought €40 worth of condoms of smarthealth.ie and never got them, no response to numerous emails and their phone number doesn't work! Any advise on how to get this sorted. If not, at least others take this as a warning.

It was on my laser card. What do I tell the bank?

They won't intervene with a Laser transaction. Small claims court.

Before advising a chargeback, maybe you should ask when the order was placed.

    Hi jor el,

We have had unfortunate experience of chargebacks being issued to us for use of stolen laser cards on our site. It may be that such chargebacks can only be inititated for fraud cases rather than non deliverance of promised goods or services but it wouldn't hurt for the OP to contact their bank and see. :)

You can have an opinion of course but your recommendation has no weight whatsoever. The consumer forums here are littered with one post wonders defending businesses or mentioning how great their experience was when someone else has posted a negative comment. 99% of the time it's someone involved in the business who does it. Regular readers / contributors here and indeed most people will always assume someone with a single digit post count recommending a certain business is a shill account for that business.

Whether you actually are involved with the business or not is besides the point. Its just that people are far more likely to give weight to a post from a regular contributor rather than someone whos first post was to recommend / defend a business which was being highly criticised.

I'll second that reccomendation. A couple of items I bought from them turned up perfectly on time a few months back.

I heard of them through boards btw, they were reccomended in the "bargain alerts" thread in consumer issues FWIW.

This is a lot more credible coming from an established user. :)

Let's leave the accusations of possible shilliness aside, that can be checked by moderators. It has by the way, and I see no improprieties. Any poster's opinion is only worth what each individual reader takes from it.

Sorry jor el. I wasn't accusing directly just commenting on the immediate suspicions that first posts like that raise. That said I also shouldn't have spoken for anyone else on boards and apologise for it. :)

    Hey guys,

Just to let you all know that my order arrived eventually, it took awhile but they got here in the end!

Aine thanks for you PM, if you guys could focus on answering emails it would really help easing concerns about orders. It was very frustrating sending emails, getting no response and then getting emails from you guys about special offers!

Glad to hear it Beau, apologies again for any inconvenience caused. As explained the guy who was looking after web orders has left the company and we're presently resolving any delivery issues from the past couple of weeks.

Again, if anybody has experienced any delays please PM me or get in touch with me here: http://www.smarthealth.ie/pages/contact_us and I'll immediately get it resolved.

    Thanks.

    Aine
