Hi I was wondering if anyone might have any advice,
I have a small flowerbed in my front garden that my neighbours cat are inclined to litter in it and the smell is horrid and I was wondering if there is anything I could use to deter them.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any advice

There are various possibilities. Orange peel or citrus smell puts them off. You can buy some stuff to put on the area - garden supplies 'Cat off' or similar name. Or you can lie in wait with a water pistol and squirt them. If you get them with the water a couple of times they will go elsewhere.

Ive tried them all from citrus peel to pellets and i have finnaly found a working deterrent - TREE BARK:).

I have found that the cat will no sit on the bark chippings as they are very uncomfortable on its rear end !!

Hm, my cats have no problems using my tree bark flower beds as a toilet - they just remove the bark!

I have about five mangy feral cats that live behind and under a neighbours shed! My garden is the toilet! They drive me mad

:( Orange peel : They completely ignored it.

:( Chopped up onions: Sort of worked for about a week.

:o Vinegar sprinkled on ground: works quite well.

 Bark mulch: as this is warm when on ground they stretch out, relax
    and sunbathe all day.

:) Lion poo: if only I could get some, I'd say that might work.

 Rubber snake: someone told me this one, but I can't understand
how an Irish cat would know to be afraid of snakes let alone a
    "pretend" one.

 Plant deterrent: Bought in garden centre, supposed to deter cats.
They just lay on top of it!

:) Curry powder/pepper sprinkled on ground: works until it rains!

:D Hose: cats don't like water!

If any of you have "the magic solution" please share with me please! These cats are plaguing me and flattening all my nice plants by sunbathing on top of them!!

So out of all of the above, pepper and curry powder work the best?

(I don't have the time to sit in the garden with a hose locked and loaded)
