.AVI files query

    Hi,

Firstly I'm really sorry if this is the incorrect forum, wasn't sure where to post it.
Just two quick questions about .AVI files

I have a habit of recording stuff using the camcorder function on my camera, but holding the camera sideways.
Then when I put the files on my PC the video is sideways if that makes sense.
Is there any way to rotate the video footage as can be done with pics?

Also, if I post pics to forums/facebook etc I use 'PhotoRazor' to reduce the size of the files to enable quicker downloads.
Are there any similar programs (preferably free!;)) that allow you to reduce the size of an .AVI file?
As I have a painfully slow broadband connection, last time I uploaded a .AVI file to photobucket it took approx. 4 hours to upload a 35 second clip

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
    :pac: C
