Over the last few months I have sent my cv out to over 70 different recruitment agecnices/companies and got very few interviews. I have a degree in engineering. Just looking for advice about job hunting in this present difficult time. I look up loads of differnt recruitment websites everyday.

Have you any companies in mind that you would like to work in and if so why not try sending your cv into them with a nice cover note asking them to keep you in mind should a position come up also try news papers sometimes the old fashioned ways are the best :D and not all jobs advertised on recruitment agency website are actual jobs usually you can send in your cv to them they pick and choose what they like then send them off to the company.....i'd also check company websites

Do you have work experience or are you straight out of college?
Employers are usually more interested in your employment history than your degree so put that first on your CV.

I am along time out of college. I have my experience on my cv before my qualification. I used to work in the construction industry so most of those companies have had redundancies. I will try the suggestion of sending in my cv to companies that aren't advertising.
