Hi, firstly apologies if this is in the wrong thread!

I just wanted to see if anybody here has had experience with this insurance company? I recently got my car renewal from an insurance company i have been with for over 4 years, the renewal has increased my premium by over €150. I contacted them and they said the increase was due to the recent weather and increase in claims!! they would not even think about reducing the premium by €10!! i got a quote on it'sfor women.ie which came in below the price i am paying now. I've shopped around and they are the cheapest by far.

anybody had any experience with them?

    thanks!:D

They are an AIG company by the look of it so wouldn't be to concerned about running into problems.

Shure nothing to worry about. AIG nearly went bankrupt and had to be bailed out by the US taxpayer is all :D

Just check the excess and see whether all the usuals like windscreen cover is included. Do they offer shill-protection as standard?

i shop around every year when my polocy is up and for the past 2 year have been with IT's 4 Women as they have been the cheapest. I had to put in a claim this year for damage to my car from an atempted robbery and found them to be good. Will have to see next year if my premium goes up

They've gone up an average of 15%
if your renewal is due in 3 weeks you should have our renewal by now.

Well 3 weeks on Thursday so no doubt there is imminent depressing news in its way to me.

I can't even shop around as I've an open claim..........oh well I'll just bend over :(

Yes, they've increased for everyone, all premiums have increased by 15% due to the high level of claims that was made to insurance companies due to the bad weather! So if you didn't claim you still have your premium increased which is slightly unfair!!:(

Both my wife and I are insured with their sister company 25plus. 25plus told me about it's for women but their quote was dearer than 25plus cos I wanted to be insured on her car. They were considerably cheaper than FBD for me and Eagle Star for her

I'm with its4women and all I swear never again.

Firstly, you think you're getting a good quote but they have this thing where if you need to make a temporary change on your policy, ie your car is in the garage and you want to drive a courtesy car, they make you pay €20 admin each time you make the change so that's €40 (once for the courtesy car and once to put your own car back on) and that's the discounted rate for doing the change on line.

I never heard of that with any other insurer or broker before and I'm driving 16 years.

If you buy a new car in the middle of your policy and want to insure that you can be moved to a new insurer and the cost can go up. They are only brokers. So yet again more charges and admin charges.

They write something in plain, unequivocal English on the policy and then when you try to do it they refuse to honour the terms of the policy. On top of that they try to convince you that what is written on the policy actually means the opposite and it means you CAN'T do that.

Oh mother of god, my blood pressure goes up just thinking of all the arguments.

I reported them to the financial regulator/ombudsman for failing to keep to the terms of our contract as outlined in the policy. They rang me a few times and tried to argue black was white but I just said we would see what the regulator/ombudsman found.

In the end they compensated me (after far too many arguments) and basically told me that I had to accept I was wrong all along and they were right. The irony was that the terms they refused to honour were once again outlined in my new policy document.

My general impression after all my dealings with them is completely unprofessional and more.
