    Lads ,

I've played golf with the same lad for the last few weeks , every time we play for E2 front 9 , E2 back 9 and E2 overall and a brucy bonus E4 if you win the 2 nines and the overall .

i've wiped the floor with him for the last number of weeks and now taken the money off him feels like kicking a puppy , It's just to easy ...

    My moral Dilemma is ... Do i ask him to up the money to E4 front , E4 back , E4 overall or do i suggest E5 , E5 and E5 ..

    ;););););)

Leave it as it is and keep taking the coinage each week.

Any suggestion of upping the stakes and you will probably make him think about it and he'll suggest not playing for money anymore until his form improves.

I had the same problem with one of my buddies. Kept winning the money even though I know money is very tight with him. I suggested that we keep track of it over the season and settle at the end. On the last day suggested a double or quits with a nearest the pin at the last and simply 'avoided winning'

    Go up to €6.

(alt+gr key and 4 for the euro sign ;) )

In an effort to make it a little fairer, my Dad and I used to play for a €5 a round.
Whoever has the worst score put €5 into the pot, at the end of the year you halve the pot.

When we play for money, you have to have a minimum of 16 points on either nine or 32points in total to get paid......

I'd up it to €10 and then €50 and then hopefully you'll find that he's been sandbagging all along and cleans you out.

A very wealthy Cork businessman was once challenged on the first tee, by a young buck who fancied his chances.

The young lad said "How about we play for £20 per hole?", to which the man replied "No, thanks. How about we toss a coin for £20 per hole?"

    This challenge was also declined.
