Not sure if anyone can help here but i thought id try.

I usually always end up driving the ball left, now i think this is because i am trying to generate too much power but also i tend to hook to the right as well sometimes. I was out on Sunday and the first 3 holes all my drives perfect but after the next two went left.

Anyone any tips or ideas might i could try or might be doing wrong?

If you're right handed this is a slice.

I'm left handed and have a very bad slice a times.
I know it's all about grip and set up. Try google, there's so much advice out there for us slicers and hookers alike ;)

You better have it cured by then or you'll have no chance of making the cut with the rough the way it is ;)

I started pull hooking my drives to the left this year and it was purely down to me trying to force it. I wasn't finishing my backswing and was basically lunging at the ball and coming over the top, my right side doing too much.

I now literally say to myself on the tee "Slow the f*ck down"! just before I start my backswing, and it works. I make sure I swing what feels to be too slow, but it's actually correct and lets all the parts come together for a proper release.

Grip the club tighter and swing harder and faster.

I thought to myself on the 5th hole i was trying to force it hooking it to the left and also really going for power on on my down swing.

The first couple of holes i had a slow swing and a lose grip and was hitting the ball nice and straight.

I'll go driving range this week one of evenings and see if i can change one or two things.
