Do you think there's demand for Window Cleaners?

    Hi,

I'm thinking of starting as a window cleaner. Do you think homeowners nowadays would be interested in this service? Could you foresee any problems for me? The reason I ask is I don't see anyone offering the service anymore. I know some charge €25 for basic back and front. I was thinking of more like €15 and a bit extra for conservatories or extensions.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!!!

    Thanks a mil...

Would it be worth your while charging €15?

I think there is a demand. Window cleaners are rarely seen these days. I would like the insides done too please!

It's something I've been asked alright.

I can get a house with 4 windows at front and back and 2/3 at side done in just over an hour. So, if I could get 5 done a day that's €75.

Thing is I need to get a rate that people would readily take up and balance that with something that would make it worth my while.

    Any advice would be great!

    Thanks!

A window cleaner comes to my house every 6 weeks or so and charges 25 to clean the outside of 8 large windows, 4 small windows, and the front door glass.

Thinking about it, I'd say he gets them all done in less than 20 mins. He has to drive to the next house, but even if that's 10 mins away, he's still on 50 quid an hour before petrol, assuming if is busy all day.

i live in clondalkin and every sat we have about 3 diff sets of guys knock on all the doors with their ladder in hand asking if we want our windows cleaned.
some guy also has notice over in greenpark shops charging 2.50 per winow .
dont know if all the ones on my road have their own window cleaner or just do it themselves coz ive never seen the guys actually clean anyone's windows

I definitly think that there's a market there, there are very little window cleaners nowadays compaired to years ago. I live in a new estate and I think there'd be a need in most new areas. I was quoted €25 for 3 front and 3 back windows. Your price and your manner/ attitude will work well for you.

Go for it. I have never met a window cleaner who does the insides. In fact I am going to start mine now. And it takes me ages. Laziness.

I wish you the best of luck if you go ahead with your venture. And I hope you have considered the insurance end and the fact that money is now tight.
