Air con gone

The air con went in my car about 2 weeks ago, it's a 2001 peugeot 406. No air at all is coming out of the vents. Herself was driving yesterday and said that when she went over a speed bump it came on for a minute but gone again now. Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

A mate of mine was saying that the AC comes from or gas cannisters and that they may be empty & need to be replaced. I find this hard to believe but the man is rarely wrong.

your mate is right, your air con may need to be refilled.

or it could be an electrical problem.

You can get this in Halfords, they come in two sizes. You should get the small size which is about €40 just incase its not the gas. It comes with a pressure gage so once you connect it up it will tell if it is empty or not. Its very easy to do and will take a few minutes.

If there's no air coming out of the vents then it's probably the fan or something to do with the air distribution system rather than the a/c itself.

I agree as the air will still be coming out if the air con reservoir is empty. Get that checked first because a recharge would be more expensive.

Sounds like an electrical connection is loose.
