Hi all! Does anyone know of any shops or brands that do fashionable, pretty shoes or sandals with a nice soft sole? They don't have to be really high or really in fashion but just not something you'd see a nun wearing. I'm asking for my mam as she finds the sole of her foot needs a nice cushion but she can't find any pretty shoes or sandals anywhere.

Are you looking for Flats or heels?

Hust puppies are lovely and fabulously comfortable, and a lot of their summer styles are quite young, or can be worn by any age without looking frumpy/mutton-as-lamb.

You can get these in most shoe shops, barrats, Schuh, clarkes(I think anyway.. )

Reiker sandals (80% are flat/low heeled) are THE most comfortable shoes I've ever tried on. Super soft sole, mould to the shape of your feet, really supportive and superb quality. Well worth the money. These are on sale in some independent shoe shops as well as Barratts and either clerys or Arnotts (or maybe both?)

If she's looking for something slightly dressier then Lotus shoes are amazing! They're SO comfortable and quite glamorous too. Most have a heel, mainly wedge heels which are much more comfortable to walk in than stilletos :) I don't know anywhere other than Barratts where you can buy these though!

I have a pair of clarks active airs that I got three years ago and I wear them all the time, they are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet and they are still in perfec nick. The ones I have are gladiator type jobbies and they look gorgeous. Check out these which I think are fab

I think Clarks in general carry a good range - and they have great sales!

Birkenstocks have a cork and latex sole which is really comfy and they come in some really upbeat colours.

Dare I mention Fitflops? They are comfy also.

Both I appreciate are on the high side in terms of price.
