Hi guys, hope this is the right section!

Looking to record something using Audacity but it says my laptop has no recordiing device.

Is this something I can easily download or is it something you go out and buy?

    Cheers.

go to control panel, audio, audio propertys, sound recording, use tab ,select your sound card,eg soundblaster32.should be same as same as playback device,
if this doesnt work reinstall sound card.is there any yellow tabs in device manager,= missing driver.unknown device.
