Anyone interested?? All ye doubters in the glorious name of ELEY

I know a man who may be going over to Germany in a few weeks to test barrels in Lapuas factory. probably taking up to twelve barreled actions. Barrels collected here in Ireland, driven to the factory in Germany, and the ammo home in the same vehicle!! ;)

    Now's yer chance!

As I say, may well be up for this, will just need to run in the new barrel first. Should manage to get a couple of thousand through it before August/September.

I reckon I'll probably manage that in the first week. :p If I get a few thousand through it before your trip to Germany and have the funds, I'll send it along with you.

Going to be dealing with the last bits of paperwork over the next few days, just have to get the licence back now and we'll be sorted. :) Can start making up some hopefully respectable scores then.

Doubt I'll be in on this trip, but should be able to send the barrel along sometime next spring, scores depending.

It'll still be a little fresh at that stage, would be better waiting a few months and putting a few thousand rounds through it first. I'm more looking at 2016 for the time being, keeping everything in solid perspective. ;) I will get it batch tested once I start hitting 585+ though, see what it can really do.

One thing to bear in mind, Lapua batch test with the full range, so you dont have to select the more expensive material. It may just be a decent batch of rounds to practice with. After all every rifle will change after 5k has been put through it, which is why I would never recommend go over the 5k purchase.

OK guys.....any takers for the last few spaces??

Heading out on Wednesday 4th August, testing on the 5th and 6th, returning on the 7th! The fee for testing is £125/barrel.

Barrels can be cllected, at the border if necessary, but would need to be in my posession before the 4th August.

Lapua test the barrels themselves with the full range of products, so you can decide whether you want to go for the all conquering X-Act or some of the more humble products. All the rates are shown on the Price Lists in the For Sale/Wanted section (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055946305).

Minimum order for batch tested rounds is 5k rounds, and all will be brought back on the 7th. Batch's can be held by myself and collected as and when your permit/DoJ allows, but the batch will have to be paid for on return.

Any questions drop me a note, or most of you have my number!! ;)

    Regards,

    sam@intershoot.co.uk

Good response to this and places are filling up!!, At present I'm using the Midas+ and its going really well!

I like the way the test all the grades from SK rifle match right up to the X-Act!!

Get your names down, its well worth it even if your only looking some batch tested training ammo!;)

Thanks lads, won't have the new (to me) baby in hand in time - but might just consider sending her off on the next round of batching. Keep me posted! Thanks.

I cant see me doing this run any more than once every six months, it's a camel trek to say the least, and to avoid wasting time its going to be practically 20hours straight each way in the truck!!

One day over, two days testing, and one day back......12 barrels is the limit and we're more or less there!
