is anyone else here getting married in the registry office?
i plan to get married there end of may next year (the one in dublin city centre) and i first contacted them in april, they told me the "don't have next years diaries" and will call when they get them in... i have since called them a few times to the same response...i was going to offer to buy them a diary so that they can confirm my date and i can book other things/make my save the dates!

it's very frustrating, i can't imagine how i would feel if i was planning a wedding earlier in the year!

just wondering if anyone else ever had this problem or is having it...

We booked in Sept for a Feb wedding. It seems a little strange to me as when I rang the guy said I could pick any day in 2010 as the diary was pretty much clear at that stage. Also, I know the summer dates book up quite quickly.

Perhaps ring them back and try to get them to commit to a definite answer like WHEN they will have the diary for 2011.

that is strange honestly, I never heard of any office saying this.
Take names, force them to commit or maybve write official letter, because phone calls aren't effective obviously.

    written word is more effective.
