I can't believe it, but I just went looking for my An Triail and can't find it anywhere. I kniw it's only 6.66%, but I'd rather get that than not, sonce I know my aural and comprehensions went horribly.....

If anyone could post anything even remotely sensical relating to An Triail I would be extremely grateful.....

I'm crying like a baba and i know I shouldn't be, but it was my dad that moved it somewhere because he always does it and now it's lost :(

Also, any predictions for the questions would be helpful too......from my limited notes that I have I'd say I'd manage Pádraig, the mother and fimíneacht

Oh you poor thing! I almost broke down on tears myself last night - I couldn't find my Irish hardback copy (which LITERALLY contains everything I needed to pass both my Irish exams!!)

for an Triail... You could probably find quotes online somewhere - you should definitely know the opening one 'Mharaigh mé mo leanabh de bhrí gur cailín í' blahblah
and some maybe from Padraig nuair a d'éirigh leis chun Mháire a mhealladh - which is a good phrase if you don't already know it it means he succeeded in seducing Maire ;)
I can give you loads of quotes if you want more, I'll take me a while to type them out though- I hate using my iPod touch for Internet but my computers so slow

thanks a mil, don't bother if it's too much trouble/dragging you away from study etc.
I have answers for fimineacht, Padraig and Bean Uí Chathasaigh but nothing else....we've been shunted from teacher to teacher over the last two years......I have a couple of quotes, but not many

It's very basic, main things you need to know:

Everyone says they've nothing to do with what happened even though directly or indirectly they all did.
The people whou should've looked out for her most, i.e the mother were crap.
Malaí the whore was the only one who was truly good to her - How ironic!
Fimíneacht is the Irish word for hypocrisy.
The mother tried to kll the baby.
Bean Uí Chinseallaigh sacked her as soon as she knew Máire was preggers.
Pádraig turns up in the brazzer shop, he's married someone else.
Máire kills herself and the baby because she can see no other way to prevent her from going the same way she did, awfully sad.
Máire's family are more worried about what people think of them than about helping her "mé náirithe os comhair na gcomharsan"
Fimíneacht, fimíneacht, fimíneacht, easpa Chríostaíocht, fimíneacht etc.

Not in any sort of order, but you get the point :)

thanks so much guys! If I just stay away from the character, unless, by some miracle/divine intervention they're on Pádraig and the mother :D

If it's characters it'll more than likely be write on 2 for 20 marks each, I highly doubt they'll give just one character, and you'll definitely have a choice.

20 marks is only about a page of writing and it'll only be the main characters, you'll be fine ;)

I don't know which poems are pass tbh :P If Jack, Gealt nad Níl aon Ní are pass then they're my guesses.

Úrchill, Maigdiléána, an t-Oileáin and an Chéad Drama I reckon for the other bit.

For Stair, Fiannaíocht has to be up, I also like an tamhrán, dánta grá, dán díreach, any poets that weren't up last year, caniúntí, ogham.

CSS and An Bhean óg for prós
