Anybody taking part this Sunday? I did it last year and I have nothing else planned this weekend so why the hell not?!

I assume from the closing date on the website that you can sign up on the morning?

    I might be doing this.

Would it be a good idea to change my SRAM cassette from a 11-25 to a 12-27 or 11-28? Is a 12-27 less gappy than the 11-28?

Another tough cycle this year, with three hard climbs! It was well organised but where were the sandwiches!!!!!

Burgers were supplied at the mid way food stop, but had to Queue for over 45mins to get one.

There was plenty of cake and fruit and it was a nice sunny day, but boy it was tough!

Really enjoyed this yesterday, nice weather, lovely scenery (it's a pity it's in Cork, the b*stards are smug enough).

Only minor complaint (hey, I'm Irish, I have to complain about something) was the food. I didn't fancy queueing for a a burger at 10:30am with the Goat's Path climb looming and some sambos would have been appreciated around the Blarney mark.

Other than that, fantastic spin, tough, as it should be.

    7:40 rolling time.

Feeling fine this morning but was in bed before the kids last night!

Well I slept like a log last night after that. Very lucky that we got the best day of the year weather wise. Yes, where were the sandwiches?!?!

Rolling time of 8 hrs 03 mins which was 1hr 45 mins better than last year(that was my time at the 200k mark last year, not 213k which was the total). So I was very pleased with a good days work.
