    Size : Large

    Used only for racing (no winter training wear). Bought in 2007 & used up to Aug 2009. Approx 6 months/ year usage.

    Reason for selling: Frame too large... took a while to figure that out!

    oops!

    Looking for €1100 and open to reasonable offers. This is going towards funding a smaller frame.

    Large = 56.5 - 57

    No offense as these are excellent frames and very hard wearing but it's worth more like 500. You can get new 2008 Damocles frames for under 1000 ..

    OK, thanks for the post. Not really sure what the point of it is, as anyone interested in actually buying it can do their own research.

    Please show me where I can get on for 500.. I'd buy one in a flash as a winter training frame..

    My point is simply that you review your ad and ask why such a good frame has not sold or indeed received any offers at all despite being available for almost 6 weeks while far inferior stuff has shifted quickly................

    PS I ride a Ridley Noah which I got new from Hargrove cycles in the uk for €1300 brand new last year.

    Fair enough re: the Noah. Great bargain but not something that is very common unless you spend a lot of time searching and waiting.

    My price is negotiable as stated and I'd consider any reasonable offer.

    I still can't find €500 Damocles frames & I still don't see the value of stating something like that on someone else's advert.

    Fair enough I've tried to delete it but can't. If you can get one of the mods to delete it that's fine with me.

    giannip,

    The sort of advert price thread-spoiling you've highlighted is allowed (and even actively encouraged) on this forum. It is not allowed on adverts.ie.

    Whilst I know you're not out to rip anyone off, there are other (more entertaining) threads where this has been the case, and we can't have one rule for one person and another for another, if you understand.

    I'd still take RobFowl off your Christmas card list. :)
